On Dec. 18, 2021, nearly 600 wreaths were placed on the graves of veterans in Mount Bethel Cemetery as part of Wreaths Across America. Several other sites in the area also participated in this commemoration.

On Saturday, Jan. 22, the wreaths will be removed from the graves. Jane Moore, president of the Mount Bethel Board of Directors, is asking members of the community to assist in this process beginning at 9 a.m.

The cemetery is located at 700 Locust St., Columbia.
