VROCP posts book signing

Vision Resources of Central Pennsylvania (VROCP) will host a book signing with award-winning children's book author Cynthia A. Sudor on Sunday, Dec. 3, from noon until 2 p.m. at the VROCP facility located at 1130 S. 19th St., Harrisburg.

The featured book will be the seventh book in the "Adventures at Green Apple Acres" series, which introduces readers to animals on a farm as they overcome challenges and learn life lessons. Each book has five stories with a moral, followed by interactive questions, and a synopsis of each lesson. When the stories feature real people and animals, Souder includes photographs in the back of the book.

In 2023, Sudor published "Book Seven," which features a thoroughbred gelding named Ronin that is blind in one eye due to a cataract. Ronin is still able to participate in various equine competitions, such as jumper, mounted archery and dressage. One page in the book informs readers of all ages about the work of VROCP benefiting people in southcentral Pennsylvania who are blind or visually impaired. Sudor has maintained business and friendship ties with VROCP for several years.

Guests at the book signing will have an opportunity to meet Sudor and purchase an autographed copy of "Book Seven" and other books in the series, as well as to receive information about VROCP.
