Wagman Construction Receives Awards

Three projects by Wagman Construction, a member of ABC Keystone, were recognized at this year's Excellence in Construction Awards. The Excellence in Construction Awards are given to local member contractor firms based on outstanding work they have performed.

During the Excellence in Construction Awards Gala on Nov. 10, Wagman received Awards of Merit for the following projects: Asbury Bethany Village East Cafe and Bistro in Mechanicsburg in the category of Commercial Valued at $2 Million to $10 Million; Keystone Kidspace in York in the category of Renovation Valued at $1 Million to $5 Million; and Geisinger Sunbury Primary Care in Sunbury in the category of Health Care Valued at Under $2 Million.

Wagman's renovation of Asbury Bethany Village East Cafe and Bistro features a cafe, kitchen, lounge and bar that residents can use to socialize and enjoy meals and drinks. The renovation offers modern wood finishes and decorative art, a bamboo floor, custom casework and banquettes and an artificial green wall over the bar area that provides a pop of color.

Keystone Kidspace, previously the York Armory, was transformed by Wagman to create flexible open spaces, classrooms, offices, a kitchen and activity spaces for educational experiences. Programming includes STEAM activities and free play for kids age 6 and up, as well as creative classes and workshops.

The Sunbury Primary Care project for Geisinger System Services consisted of demolition and renovations to provide updated lab space, 20 exam rooms, a new X-ray facility and medical and treatment rooms within an aggressive, five-month schedule.

Celebrating its 120th anniversary this year, Wagman is a fourth-generation, family-owned company with offices in Pennsylvania and Virginia. It is headquartered in York. For more information, visit http://www.wagman.com.
