Wagman Receives Three Merit Awards

Wagman Construction Inc. recently announced that it received three Merit Awards during the Keystone Chapter of Associate Builders and Contractors (ABC) Excellence in Construction awards ceremony. The event, held virtually on Dec. 10, recognized and publicized the outstanding work performed on projects built by ABC Keystone members.

Wagman received Merit Awards for each project submitted. The projects were Pennsylvania American Water Headquarters, Commercial Construction Between $10 Million and $25 Million category; 1741 Club for the York Revolution, Renovation Under $1 Million category; and Mount Joy Amtrak Train Station, Special Projects category.

Pennsylvania American Water Headquarters, located in Mechanicsburg, features both enclosed and open office space, conference rooms, kitchenette areas, a fitness center and two vegetated outdoor patios. It also includes energy efficient features like a geothermal heating and cooling system and LED lighting inside and outside the building. McKernan Architects served as the architectural partner on the project.

Wagman's Special Projects Group completed skybox level renovations at the York Revolution baseball stadium in York. The stadium's former White Rose Hall was converted into The 1741 Club, a relaxed venue for businesses taking out memberships with the York Revolution. The space features new ceilings, windows that can be opened to overlook the field and new seating and food areas. Partnering with Wagman on this project was York-based Murphy & Dittenhafter Architects.

The new station at Mount Joy Amtrak Train Station underwent a five-phase renovation project to improve pedestrian access and parking at the station, including ADA accessibility. It features covered, elevated platforms which replaced low-level ones to make boarding trains easier for passengers. Access was improved with the addition of two elevators, two enclosed stair towers and a pedestrian overpass between the platforms. All of the work performed was planned around a live track with close residents and live electricity. Michael Baker International served as the architect.
