Wayside plans Paint Night for kids

Wayside Presbyterian Church, 600 Stony Battery Road, Landisville, will hold a Paint Night on Wednesday, May 17, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. for children and youths in kindergarten through 12th grade. Local potter Maria Hershey of Hershey Pottery will lead the group in a step-by-step canvas painting appropriate for youths of all ages. Parents may drop off their children or stay during the event.

This event is the second paint event led by Hershey. Kids will paint a cherry blossom tree on actual canvases using acrylic paint. Wayside's youth team will support and coach the children. No prior experience is required. Children should bring a smock or wear old clothes.

There is no fee, but preregistration is required by Monday, May 15, at http://www.waysidepc.org. For additional information, call the church office at 898-1551.

Beginning Sunday, May 28, Wayside will follow its summer service schedule, with one service at 10 a.m. on Sundays. The service will blend traditional and contemporary styles.
