Wayside Sets Christmas Events

Wayside Presbyterian Church, 600 Stony Battery Road, Landisville, will offer "Silent Night," a free parents' night out, on Friday, Dec. 9, from 6 to 8 p.m.

Children will be able to enjoy an evening of holiday fun while parents have a night out to finish shopping. After children are dropped off at the church, they will be able to decorate cookies, play games, eat snacks, watch a short film, and more.

Parents may sign their children up at http://www.waysidepc.org under the "Silent Night" event listing.

Also, Wayside will offer Christmas Eve candlelight services on Saturday, Dec. 24, with a contemporary service at 5:30 p.m. and a traditional service at 7 p.m. Both will include the lighting of Christmas candles to the singing of "Silent Night."

Wayside offers two styles of Sunday morning worship. A traditional service with a choir takes place from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m., followed by refreshments and fellowship. An informal, contemporary service with Grace Notes, Wayside's praise band, is held from 11 a.m. to noon, and children and youth ministries are available. A staffed nursery is available during both services. Additional opportunities, including those for children and youths, are also offered.
