A Backyard Stream Repair Series of live webinars will be held on Tuesdays and Thursdays, Aug. 27 to Sept. 10, from 2 to 3:30 p.m.

Each session will present a step-by-step DIY process that homeowners and landowners can use to repair streams that are getting deeper or wider. The techniques are meant to be simple and affordable. Penn State Extension noted that stream repair can lead to improved bank stability and reduced erosion, saving property from washing away; added property value; reduced water pollution; available habitat for many types of wildlife; and other benefits.

There is a fee, and registration is required at https://tinyurl.com/BackyardStreamRepair. A link to the recorded webinar will be emailed to registrants after the live event, and the recording will be accessible for six months from the event date.
