Webinar to focus on feral hogs

Penn State Extension will hold a webinar, "A Squeal for Help: Preventing Feral Hog Invasions," on Wednesday, Sept. 4, at noon.

Feral hogs are one of the most damaging non-native species in North America. Historically confined to the Southeastern United States, they have spread and now threaten forests, wetlands, and other habitats from Florida to Saskatchewan. In the webinar, participants will learn about the role humans play in feral hog invasions, strategies to slow their spread, and early intervention steps for new invasions. The program is designed for foresters, landowners, biologists, and other interested parties.

There is a fee for those seeking continuing education credits, with no free for all other attendees. Registration is required https://tinyurl.com/FeralHogInvasion.

A link to the recorded webinar will be emailed to registrants after the live event, and the recording will be accessible for six months from the event date.
