Webinar to focus on stormwater

Penn State Extension will livestream a webinar, "Water Cooler Talk: Green Infrastructure and Salty Stormwater," on Monday, Jan. 29, at noon.

De-icing salts are widely applied to hard roads, sidewalks, and parking lots in winter. Salty runoff can then be washed into receiving rain gardens, bioswales, or other stormwater management features. In this talk, attendees will hear about the impacts of this salty water on the vegetation, soils, and water quality performance of green stormwater infrastructure, and ways to try to reduce these impacts.

This event is free of charge, but registration is required at http://tinyurl.com/SaltyStormwater.
