Wickersham Construction & Engineering Inc. recently earned a National Safety Merit Award, which was presented at the 31st annual Excellence in Construction Awards during the ABC Convention 2021 in Grapevine, Texas. Wickersham vice president Joe Dougherty accepted the award on behalf of the company.

Wickersham Construction & Engineering won in the Construction of Buildings category and was the only general contractor in Pennsylvania to win among the general contractors who placed nationally.

Wickersham Construction earned the Platinum status in ABC's STEP Safety Management System in 2020 qualifying for national recognition. During the selection process, contractors were judged on self-evaluation scores, lost workday case rates, total recordable incident rates, process leading indicator use, program innovations and interviews conducted by members of ABC's National Safety Committee.
