Wiglesworth Earns Swimming Honors

The women's swim team at Bridgewater College, Bridgewater, Va., broke two records in its meet victories over Randolph and Hollins. The Eagles won 137-35 over the Wildcats and 136-22 over Hollins.

Katelyn Wiglesworth of Landisville joined three of her teammates to break one of the records in the 400-meter medley relay. Wiglesworth swam one leg of the relay to team up for a time of 4:43.72, breaking the oldest record from the swimming record books from 2011-12 by eight seconds.

Additionally, Wiglesworth broke a school record during Bridgewater College's women's swim meet against Gallaudet University on Oct. 29. Wiglesworth set a new school record for the 100 IM with a time of 1:5.03. She was also a member of the first-place team in the 200-yard freestyle relay, with a time of 1:51.39 seconds. Overall, Bridgewater won the meet 215-31.
