Women's Club Presents Awards

The Millersville Woman's Club (MWC) recently presented its 2025 scholarship and academic achievement awards for seniors at Penn Manor High School (PMHS) and the Lancaster County Career and Technology Center (LCCTC). The winners were announced at the school's senior awards night. Jan Mindish, MWC education chairman, presented the awards.PMHS achievement awards of $200 each were presented to the following students: Olivia Haldeman, art; Robert Ethan White, English; Amelia Trout, math; Madelyn Stern, music; Sophia Nightingale, science; and Emily Gregory, social studies. Subject areas are selected by each department.PMHS scholarship awards of $1000 each were presented to the following students: Daniela Contin, Samaria Martin, Akriti Neupane, Cristofer Arias Orozco and Julienn Guillermo Severino. These recipients were selected by the MWC education committee after reviewing 22 applications that included resumes, transcripts, essays and letters of recommendation.LCCTC achievement awards of $200 each were presented to the following students, who were selected by LCCTC staff: Layla Mellinger from the Brownstown campus, Daphne Eisenhauer from the Mount Joy campus and Cayleigh Metz and Marina Youssef from the Willow Street campus.The primary goals of the club are to provide scholarships and awards to both Penn Manor and LCCTC seniors and to fund community programs.
