Women's Giving Circle to meet

Dayspring Christian Academy, 120 College Ave., Mountville, will host a Women's Giving Circle membership meeting on Tuesday, April 18, at 8 a.m. The school invites women interested in learning more about the program to attend.

Dayspring created the Women's Giving Circle to bring together women who are committed to the school - community members, family members and friends - so they may harness the power of collective giving. The members of the Women's Giving Circle pool their donations and invest in projects they believe will build and strengthen the school.

The 2022 Giving Circle supported new Bibles for lower school classroom use; a drying rack and jewelry supplies for art classes; tents for an overnight field study trip to Gettysburg; a centrifuge machine, fingerprinting kits and digital thermometers for upper school science classes; sensory learning items for the school's learning support program; books and puppets for first-grade classes; and wireless tour receivers for upper school field studies.

Any woman can join the Giving Circle at Dayspring by making an annual contribution of a set amount and a commitment to participate in the group's Lunch and Learn, where members see their funds in action; the social membership meeting; and the annual meeting. Each year, the combined contributions of the Women's Giving Circle membership are used to support specific projects and educational services at Dayspring. The membership votes annually in October on which projects will benefit from the fund.

Light fare and refreshments will be provided at the April meeting.
