The Serendipity group of Lancaster Newcomers & Neighbors has announced a variety of fall activities.

Mini golf and lunch is set for Tuesday, Sept. 6, at Cones & Clubs in York, and a polo match will be Sunday, Sept. 25, in Rothsville. The polo event will be for both singles and couples, and Serendipity chair Dottie Yuska noted that it will be the Porsche Cup, meaning there may be interesting cars to see. Attendees are encouraged to bring a picnic lunch and chairs.

A trip to the Pinnacle Overlook over Lake Aldred and the Susquehanna River will be Tuesday, Oct. 25, and dates for theater events and a train trip to Jim Thorpe will be announced at an upcoming Serendipity meeting. A group will also visit Ladew Topiary Gardens.

Newcomers & Neighbors is a Lancaster women's association founded in the 1990s to extend a friendly and helpful hand to newcomers and longer-term residents. Its activities include monthly lunch trips to area restaurants, dinner and movie events, game get-togethers, community outreach programs, and book clubs.
