Workman to perform with Hershey Symphony Orchestra

Holly Workman of Mountville will be the guest soloist with the Hershey Symphony Orchestra in an "Italian Accents" concert on Friday, April 28, at 8 p.m. The event will take place at the Hershey Theatre, 15 E. Caracas Ave., Hershey.

Workman began studying the violin at age 4. She is a graduate of the PA Virtual Charter School and holds a Master of Music in violin performance and literature and a Bachelor of Music in applied music - violin performance with high distinction from the Eastman School of Music in Rochester, N.Y., where she studied with professor Renee Jolles. Workman is also a member of the Pi Kappa Lambda music honor society. She was a violin fellow in the international Ensemble Modern Academy from 2019 to 2020 and completed a Master of Music in contemporary performance at the Frankfurt Hochschule für Musik und Darstellende Kunst.

She is currently pursuing a Doctor of Musical Arts in violin performance with Ari Streisfeld at the University of South Carolina School of Music, where she is a fellow in the New Sounds Quartet, the studio TA, and concertmaster of the University of South Carolina Symphony Orchestra. She is the daughter of Greg and Dolly Workman of Mountville.
