Wrestlers compete at state championship

Paxton Mathin and Keller Sherer from Manheim Central Mat Club wrestled in the Keystone State Championship Southeast Qualifier at Spooky Nook Sports on Feb. 11 and 12. The boys competed against wrestlers from Adams, Berks, Bucks, Chester, Cumberland, Dauphin, Delaware, Franklin, Fulton, Lancaster, Lebanon, Montgomery, Perry, Philadelphia and York counties. Both Paxton and Keller finished in first place in their respective age and weight groups.

On March 18 and 19, Paxton and Keller traveled to the Keystone State Championship at Indiana University of Pennsylvania. The boys competed against the top wrestlers from the four other regions of Pennsylvania. Paxton (6U-51 pounds) finished in seventh place, and Keller (8U-67 pounds) finished in fifth place.
