YAA Raising Funds for Relocation

In the winter of 2023, the York Art Association (YAA) received the news that it would have to relocate from its longtime home on Marshall Street by June 2026. Since then, the organization, led by executive director Roth J. Preap, has launched a capital campaign and has been preparing to renovate the historic Little Green Church, 591 Linden Ave., York, as its new location.

On Sept. 14, YAA officially launched the public phase of its Art Transforming Capital Campaign, a $2 million initiative to ensure the future of visual arts in York County. Since the beginning of the campaign's quiet phase in February 2025, donors and community partners have already pledged more than 60% of the total goal. YAA has received support not only from its members, but also from community members and local foundations.

The campaign will expand educational classrooms and spaces; modernize teaching facilities; and strengthen YAA's role as a hub for creativity, connection, and cultural growth.

The campaign welcomes contributions of all sizes from individuals, businesses, and art enthusiasts. To learn more about the campaign or to donate, visit http://www.yorkartassociation.org/littlegreenchurch.
