YCAS Schedules Public Starwatch

The York County Astronomical Society (YCAS) will offer a public Starwatch at its observatory at John C. Rudy County Park, 400 Mundis Race Road, York, on Saturday, April 9. The event will run from 8 to 10 p.m.

The evening will begin with an astronomical presentation on current events and the April night sky. Guests will then view the sky through one of the club's telescopes. Attendees will see a host of celestial objects, including the Orion Nebula and Pleiades star cluster. Visitors may bring their own telescopes to obtain assistance from YCAS experts.

The event is free and open to the public. Donations will be accepted. If it is clear, all activities will occur as scheduled. In the event of extreme weather, call 717-759-9227 for notice of cancellation or search for "York County Astronomical Society" on Facebook.
