On Saturday, Feb. 11, a 6- or 9-mile hike on the North East River Trail along the Susquehanna River will be held. Hikers will start at Koser Park, 107 Race St., Bainbridge, and hike to the Falmouth Trailhead. A 6-mile hike and chili dinner will be held on Sunday, Feb. 19, starting from JPJ Cabin, 1145 Furnace Road, Airville. The hike will depart at 10 a.m., followed by the meal at 1:30 p.m. Reservations are required by 9 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 16. There is a cost to participate. An 8- to 10-mile hike on Saturday, Feb. 25, in the Catoctin Mountains will begin at the Catoctin Visitor Center and hike a loop to Cunningham Falls, Hog Rock, Blue Ridge Summit, Thurmont Vista, and Wolf and Chimney rocks. The path is a moderate to strenuous hike. A possible meal stop is an option after the hike. Participants will meet at the west parking meeting spot on Woodbury Road by 7:25 a.m. An alternate meeting location is available at TGIF parking lot off Routes 15 and 97 at 8:20 a.m. Hikers may also meet at the Catoctin Visitor Center for a 9 a.m. start time.
