The Hempfield boys' basketball team traveled to Norristown for an opening-round game of the PIAA Class 6A state playoffs on Wednesday night, March 9.

John DiNolfi and Righteous Mitchell scored 16 and 15 points, respectively, to lead Norristown.
Miguel Pena, who was recently voted Player of the Year and was a first-team all-star in the Lancaster-Lebanon League Section One all-star voting by the league coaches, led all scorers with 19 points. He drilled three three-point jump shots in the process.
