Ladies' Tea Event Benefits Blessings Pantry

Wesley United Methodist Church (UMC) in Strasburg hosted a ladies' tea on May 1. As part of the celebration, attendees were asked to bring nonperishable food items, which were donated to the Blessings Pantry at Lampeter UMC, 1101 Village Road, Lampeter. Food and necessities such as laundry detergent, paper towels, toothbrushes, toothpaste and more, along with a check for $700, were delivered to the church by tea event chair Wanda Albright and church member Doug Houck.

Blessings Pantry is open to anyone in need on Tuesdays from 10 a.m. to noon, Thursdays from 6 to 8 p.m. and the first and third Saturdays from 10 a.m. to noon. Anyone with a need is welcome to use pantry once a month. In addition to food, the pantry also has baby supplies and cooking items. Donations are accepted.
