LCAA plans December art shows

The Lancaster County Art Association (LCAA), 149 Precision Ave., Strasburg, has a variety of events planned in the galleries for December. All shows will open Sunday, Dec. 3, and run through Saturday, Dec. 23. The galleries are open on Thursdays through Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 4 a.m. and Sundays 1 to 4 p.m. Admission is free.

In the Main Gallery, winter and holiday paintings by LCAA members will be displayed. A collection of miniature paintings, measuring 11 inches by 14 inches or smaller, will also be offered for sale. LCAA members have painted small wooden houses and trees, which will be displayed in a winter village scene and will be available for purchase.

In the Stienmetz Gallery, Carol Herr will display her oil paintings depicting landscapes in various seasons. Herr is an LCAA member and has won numerous awards in national and regional exhibits. Her artworks are part of collections across the U.S., Europe and South Africa.
