The Willow Street Lions Club will host its 26th golf outing on Friday, Aug. 26, at Tanglewood Manor Golf Club, 653 Scotland Road, Quarryville. This year, the event is called the Dan Lake Sr. Memorial Golf Outing to honor a longtime member who passed away earlier in 2022. Lake was heavily involved in the club and sought to raise awareness of the club.

Registration will begin at 7:30 a.m., and the four-person scramble tournament will have a shotgun start at 8 a.m. Prizes will be awarded for each of two flights. Contests will include hole-in-one; longest drive in the categories of men, senior men, and ladies; straightest drive; and closest-to-the-pin on five different holes.

The fee includes green fees, use of a cart, lunch, giveaway drawings, and favors. There is a discount for those who pay in advance. The field is limited to the first 144 players. Proceeds will allow the Lions Club to continue to fund various causes in the area.
