New Law Firm Opens In Lancaster

Former assistant district attorneys Alexander D. Egner and Jonathan P. Chieppor have formed Chieppor & Egner, a law firm serving the southcentral Pennsylvania region.

Both attorneys recently left the Lancaster County district attorney's office and bring a wealth of courtroom experience to private practice. Both attorneys were born and raised in Lancaster. They now focus on serving their local community by representing their neighbors in many types of matters across the mid-state area.

Practicing in many litigation areas, including criminal defense, family law and personal injury, Chieppor and Egner are bringing their years of experience in Lancaster County courtrooms as a resource for their clients.

Chieppor was the former head of Lancaster County's auto theft task force. As a prosecutor, he was trained in standard field sobriety tests; conducted several trials, including those for serious offenses; and averaged a case load of over 200 cases at one time. In the evenings, he referees boys' varsity basketball.

Egner, a former prosecutor and military police officer, left Lancaster for the Army but came back to serve his hometown after earning his law degree. He was a general trial attorney in the Lancaster County district attorney's office, and his assignments included firearms restoration, expungement of criminal charges, welfare fraud cases and a significant caseload of adult criminal charges.

Chieppor & Egner is located at 53 N. Duke St., Suite 303, Lancaster. For more information, readers may call 717-947-7483 or visit http://www.chiepporandegnerlaw.com.
