Regenerative Grower Training Program Set

The Horn Farm Center, 4945 Horn Road, York, is accepting applications for its 2026 Regenerative Grower Training Program through Sunday, Jan. 25.The program will begin on Tuesday, Feb. 17, with classes held on Tuesdays and Fridays, and will provide a full year of immersive, hands-on training in small-scale food production. The program will begin in winter with plant propagation and garden design and then guide students through the full growing season, from planting and harvesting to processing a variety of crops. Active fieldwork will be paired with classroom instruction, mentorship, and field trips. Students will also receive a weekly box of produce from spring through fall.

The program will emphasize ecological and regenerative growing principles. Participants will learn how to cultivate both annual vegetables and perennial crops in environmentally responsible ways. Emphasis will be placed on organic methods, building soil, promoting biodiversity, and working directly with what the land provides. The program is central to the Horn Farm Center's mission to advance regenerative agriculture and agroforestry in Pennsylvania.

No prior gardening or farming experience is required. Scholarships are available and awarded on a first-come, first-served basis. Only six spots are available each year, so early applications are strongly encouraged.
