Rough Riders 4-H Club Plans Meeting

The Rough Riders 4-H Horse and Pony Club will hold an in-person organizational meeting on Thursday, Jan. 5, at Refton Brethren in Christ Church, 110 Church St. The meeting will start at 6:30 p.m. and is open to new members and returning members who are ages 8 to 18 as of Jan. 1. Attendance by parents of first-time members is strongly recommended.

Owning a horse is not required to be a 4-H Horse Club member. 4-H Horse Clubs provide animal science educational opportunities but do not provide horses or riding lessons. Meetings are held from January through November on the first Thursday of each month at 6:30 p.m. and offer a variety of activities and community service throughout the year.

For details, contact Rough Riders 4-H Horse Club organizational leader Jen Landis at 717-572-2340 or jen@schwalms.com. Additionally, online registration in the Pennsylvania 4-H enrollment system, zSuite, is required for all 4-H members.
